✨Ministries & Groups

Children are such a vital part of God’s Church. At the Community Church of Poway, we love our kids and provide them with the very best we have to offer. Under the direction of Kristi Perkins, our Sunday School is much more than playtime away from the parents. There are age-appropriate lessons and activities that are meaningful. Parents are given a handout of the lessons so they can continue teaching at home.

Our Board/Ministry of Outreach is a faithful group of people who gather once a month to discuss, plan and implement our outreach into the community and beyond into the world, including a church food pantry, our connections with INTERFAITH OF ESCONDIDO and POINT (The Poway Interfaith Team). Many times after Sunday worship, the whole congregation will gather for an activity that assists our outreach efforts, getting everyone involved.

Our C.A.R.E. Board is a unique group that keeps up to date on the needs of our homebound members, as well as planning Congregational Activities, Recreation, and Evangelism.

❤️SEWING MINISTRY- (Formerly Prayers and Squares)

Every 1st, 3rd, and 5th Tuesday, many gather for sewing and fellowship at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Together these dear folks create quilts for the sick, table runners, placemats, and other crafts. Everyone is invited to come and join this creative circle.

Every Sunday morning, following worship, all are invited to join and discuss the morning message and delve a bit deeper into scripture. These dedicated folks look to the “Red Letters” of Jesus, as well as extra-biblical resources to enhance their understanding and passion for the Bible. All are welcome to join in the Fireside Room, following worship and fellowship.
